Cookie Policy
This page explains exactly which cookies we use, what each one is for, and how to change your mind. It covers primeplaces.ai and the booking sites we host under primeplaces.ai/s/… on our customers' behalf. Customers who have connected their own domain publish their own policy there.
Each site keeps your choice separately. Agreeing to analytics on one booking site does not switch them on for another one, or for this site — you will be asked wherever you have not already decided.
What a cookie is
A cookie is a small file a website asks your browser to keep. Some are needed for the site to function at all — without them you could not stay signed in. Others are optional and only tell us how the site is being used. We also use your browser's local storage in one place, listed below, which works the same way from your point of view.
Strictly necessary
These are required for the site to work and are always on. They do not track you across other websites.
| Name | What it does | Kept for |
|---|---|---|
| pp_platform_session | Keeps you signed in to your PrimePlaces account after you log in. | Session / until you sign out |
| pp_session | Keeps a property owner or manager signed in to the admin area of a booking site hosted here. | Session / until you sign out |
| pp_guest_session | Holds your place while you are part-way through a booking, so your details are not lost between steps. | Session |
| pp_portal_session | Signs you in to the guest portal, where you can see and manage a booking you have already made. | Session / until you sign out |
| pp_home_variant | Remembers which homepage layout you were shown, so the page does not change under you on a return visit. | 12 months |
| pp_home_preview | Set only while a homepage layout is being previewed via a preview link, so that a signup made from a preview is not counted in our homepage statistics. | 1 hour |
| pp_cookie_consent_v3 | Stores the choice you make on the cookie banner. Held in your browser's local storage, not sent to us. | Until you clear your browser storage |
Analytics — optional
We use Google Analytics to count visits and see which pages are worth keeping. These are switched off until you allow them: we run Google Consent Mode, so no analytics cookie is written and no analytics identifier is stored while your choice is "reject".
| Name | What it does | Kept for |
|---|---|---|
| _ga, _ga_* | Google Analytics. Counts visits and shows us which pages people find useful. Only set once you allow analytics cookies. | Up to 24 months |
Marketing — optional
On our public platform pages, we use Meta Pixel to measure campaign and page-view performance. Meta Pixel is not loaded and does not send events until you allow marketing cookies. It sends a PageView for the current public page only; we do not add conversion events. It is never mounted on tenant or operator pages, and sensitive reset, verification, payment-link and token URLs are excluded. See the table for the browser identifiers it may set.
| Name | What it does | Kept for |
|---|---|---|
| _fbp, _fbc | Meta Pixel. Measures public platform campaign and page-view performance. It is loaded only after you allow marketing cookies and only on primeplaces.ai's public platform pages. | Up to 3 months |
Changing your mind
You can change or withdraw your choice at any time, and it takes effect immediately — withdrawing is exactly as easy as agreeing.
You can also block or delete cookies in your browser settings. Blocking the strictly necessary ones will stop you being able to sign in.
